I was saddened to hear about the demise of The British Sausage Appreciation Society.
The BSAS was a truly great, slightly eccentric, British institution dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the Great British Sausage.
The British Sausage Appreciation Society, which had 5,000 members at it’s peak, was founded for sausage enthusiasts nationwide. Its function was to raise awareness and promote delicious tasting, quality British sausages such as those produced under the Red Tractor quality assurance scheme.
I think Sausagefans.co.uk can help to fill the gap!
If you were a British Sausage Appreciation Society member (or if you would have been one given the chance) please can you do two things.
Firstly, please sign up to The Sizzler (see below) which is my way of staying in touch. I’ll use this newsletter to update you.
Secondly, please leave a comment below telling me what you loved about the BSAS and then I will see what we can do to fill the gap!
